A charming winter woodland filled with gentle little stories unfolds across this delightful design. The squirrels appear completely at ease in their snowy surroundings. One curls up peacefully in its nest, another has settled comfortably inside a small vessel, while a third raises its nose as if enjoying the crisp winter air. Here and there, small woodland treasures are still being gathered before the forest settles into its winter rest.
Surrounding the squirrels are countless enchanting details that give the design its special character. Robins perch among winter branches, a tiny mouse carries a pink ribbon through the snow, and a snow-covered door hints at a hidden woodland home. Bells, mistletoe, holly leaves, wreaths, pinecones and delicate stars come together to create a heartwarming winter scene.
Sophia Drescher’s illustrations combine soft watercolour tones with warm browns, berry reds and fresh greens. This cotton fabric is perfect for winter sewing projects, patchwork, bags, cushions and decorative home accessories. The fabric can naturally shrink by up to 5-7% therefore we recommend washing our fabrics before sewing (especially in combination with other materials).
To help with the environment this fabric is not chemically pre-treated therefore is not suitable for external decoration due to poor light resistance. Let's all help our planet!
Fabric is sold in quarter metre units measuring 50 x 72cm (Fat Quarter). For a full metre of fabric measuring 100cm x 145cm just add 4 units to your basket. All fabric is cut to order and multiple units will be cut in one continuous length.
