A sublime collection of carefully hand picked exceptional quality red and white woven and printed fabrics made by Westfalenstoffe in Germany.
Westfalenstoffe are a family owned business that create fabrics that are as untreated as possible, making them exceptionally sturdy due to the cottons maintaining their natural stability. All fabrics are free from harmful substances - no formaldehyde, chlorine bleach, optical brighteners or heavy metals are used during the processing leaving a fabric with a sympathetic pH- value perfect for skin. Made to Oeko-Tex standard 100 this ensures textile safety from yarn to finished product. Made in Germany, Westfalenstoffe have been embodying the values that this label represents for nearly 80 years and bring fabrics full of elegance and sophistication. Threads used for these fabrics are coloured using reactive dye so the dye bonds and becomes part of the fabric making it less likely to wash out ensuring that this fabric will still look like new after multple washes.
These fabrics are exceptional quality and shrink very little when washed with a lightfastness of 6 (very good) allowing it to be exposed to the sun without the worry of the colour fading. This fabric sews beautifully by hand or machine due to the stability within it’s weave and weight. Note too that the woven fabrics are identical on both sides and so are excellent for making bunting or anything where both sides will be seen.

We recommend washing our fabrics before sewing (especially in combination with other materials).
Fabric is sold in quarter metre units measuring 50 x 75cm (Fat Quarter). For a full metre of fabric measuring 100cm x 150cm just add 4 units to your basket. All fabric is cut to order and multiple units will be cut in one continuous length.
Please note that the fabric is cut to order, therefore we cannot refund the fabric once it has been cut.
